Childline 1098 (Collab-Hubli & Dharwad)

Under Integrated Child Protection Scheme (ICPS) of the Govt. of India, the Ministry of Women and Child Development conceptualized a toll-free helpline for children. The no. is 1098 and is well-known Pan India. In 2012, BDSSS got into a partnership with the official partner of the Govt. of India, Childline India Foundation (CIF), in this endeavour of safeguarding children. Since then, BDSSS has been weaving safety nets for children with a team of 9 quintessential social workers, working 24X7 in caring and protecting children at high risk. The project organizes various sensitization programs such as awareness at educational institutions, stall programs, open house, CAB and TAB meetings with the district administration, night awareness, test calls of 1098 and many more. The project covers Hubli and Dharwad taluka. Temporarily, even Navalgund is being covered by BDSSS until the Childline India Foundation’s next circular. The project is supported by the Ministry of Women and Child Development through Childline India Foundation (CIF)
